Reading ambassadors

At Crofton Infant School we have reading ambassadors across every year group. These children have a passion for reading and promote a love of reading across the school. They demonstrate exemplary reading behaviours and are role models to other children. They understand the importance of reading and that it helps us in all subjects and everyday life.

Some of their responsibilities include:

• Taking pride in the school library, treehouse and vending machine area. Ensuring it is tidy, presentable and appealing for all children.
• Help to choose ‘Author of the Month’ and change the Book Vending Machine to match.
• Read to other children across the school.
• Choose recommended books and authors for individuals and whole classes.
• Take pride in their role by showcasing their ‘Reading Ambassador Badge’.
• Promote a love of reading across the school!
